Traceshield ("we", "us") provides a service for building, hosting and managing apps. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account info: your name, email address and profile picture, from Google sign-in.
- Your projects: the code, files, settings, environment variables (stored encrypted), deployments and logs you create in the service.
- Usage and technical data: how you use the service (for example, which features you use and when), plus IP address, browser and device info, and server logs.
- What you send us: support requests, feedback and survey answers.
If you sign in to an app hosted on Traceshield
Apps built by our users can let you sign in with Google through Traceshield. When you do, we create an account for you and share your name, email address and profile picture with that app. We host the app and its data on behalf of its owner, who decides what the app collects and is responsible for it. For questions about an app's data, contact its owner.
How we use it
- To provide, run, secure and maintain the service.
- To improve the service and build new features.
- To contact you about your account and the service: updates, security notices, support, and requests for feedback or research.
- To send product news and offers, only if you've agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
- To prevent abuse and fraud, and to comply with the law.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests (running, securing and improving the service, and service communications), your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share it with the owners of apps you sign in to (as described above) and with providers that help us run the service, under appropriate safeguards: hosting (Hetzner), code storage (GitHub), sign-in (Google), DNS (Cloudflare) and product analytics (PostHog). We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to remember how you found us (for example, which link you came from).
International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country, including in the EU and the US, with appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it within a reasonable time after your account is closed (email us to close it), unless we have to keep it longer by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to or restrict how we use it. Email us to make a request. If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, but we'd appreciate the chance to address your concern first, so please contact us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure.
Children
The service is not for anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or in the service.
